ever ever after, it may only be a wish away
(5:06 PM)

Had GPA prac today at 9.30.

I was happily walking to Eunos MRT then I got a call from Humaira. THEY ALL REACH AT 9 SIAAAAA.

Hahahaha. So rushed towards the mrt and I missed 2 trains on the way? Blahhh. How that is even possible, I have no idea.

Did vocal warmups at the padang! They were abit paisey-ed but yeahh. Nobody cared that there were a group of people going 'AAAAAAAAAH-AH! EHHHHH-EH! EEEEEEE-E! OHHHHHH-OH! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-OO!' while clapping. Nurin said it looked like a ritual. That coming from a 'mat hippie'.LOL. HAHA they call me Kak Sak now. Rhymes eh?

Then proceeded to citylink the basement to practice our parts. Practiced individually with Zakiyyah. And yeah, while waiting our turn, CAMWHORE AH. LOL!

Humaira! Yes, I know. She's wearing a tudung, I'm not.

Nisa, Nurin, Sak (omg my face looks fat ><) Apparently, I have a bit of problem with my syair. apalah dah jadi dengan anak tercinta. HAHA. I CANT GO LOWWWWWWWWWW. ):

And Shernice randomly called and asked if I was free to watch The Leap Years. I said sure. 12+ and there was a showing at 12.55 so yeahhh(:

Before I start commenting on the movie, let me share with you a tradition of 29th February mentioned in the movie.

For women, February 29th can also be a very successful day as once every four years on the 29th February they have the “right” to propose to a man.

The right of every women to propose on 29th February each leap year goes back hundreds of years when the leap year day had no recognition in English law (the day was 'leapt over' and ignored, hence the term 'leap year'). It was decided that the day had no legal status, meaning that a break in tradition on this day was acceptable.

So on this day women can take advantage of this anomaly and propose to the man they wish to marry.

and in scotland,

The first documentation of this practice dates back to 1288, when Scotland passed a law that allowed women to propose marriage to the man of their choice in that year. They also made it law that any man who declined a proposal in a leap year must pay a fine. The fine could range from a kiss to payment for a silk dress or a pair of gloves.

me (to Sher): EHHHH. That gives me a GOOD IDEA man! That means can even ask any guy out they HAVE to say yes right? Can start the fad in Singapore man! Wooo! -mischievious grin-

Sher: Don't you dare, Sakinah. That's insane.

Bleahh. OKAYlah. Shall not start the tradition eh? Later become like the peribahasa perigi mencari timba (ermm well finding the pail? referred to women as the 'well' and men as the 'pail'. shows a break in status quo.)

On to comments on the movie;

WA I CRY LEHHH. At the second leap year the dialogue part I was already tugging Sher's sleeve like 'OMG SHERNICEEE SO SAD CAN?? -cries-' with my crying voice and she was all like 'relaxx. it's just a movie! want some chips?' to which i half-cried half-laughed. And yeah, 3rd leap year also and yeah, some parts I teared but didn't cry so all collect in the eye and washed my eyeliner into my eye. STINGS LIKE CRAP CAN?

She cried too but only at the 4th leap year. She said I cried even before anything happen. The second leap year had a super beautiful and moving dialogue can????

us after the movie. Still can make it la ehh? HAHAHAH!

OKAY. So now I shall comment SERIOUSLY about the movie. If youre a typical girl, you'd be crying like really really coz the dialogue is beautifully crafted at the crucial moments. But if you're a strictler for details, you'll hate it because the years are so off! Like really. 2nd leap year already 2004. And She was 24 on the 1st leap year and she's supposed to be 48 in the end. Like okayyyy?

Then had pizza hut. Ate alot. And still can go buy donuts.

I'm spending most of my money on food. Well done, Sak. Well done.
